Is the glass half empty or half full?

Your response to this question reveals a lot about your mindset

The Power of Perspective

Do you see the glass as half empty or half full? Your response to this question reveals a lot about your relationship between yourself and your mindset. In today’s letter I am discussing the glass theory, and exactly how to shift your mindset to work in your favor. I also have a free resource for you to use that will help you shift to your desired reality (scroll to the bottom to view) or click here to download .

Back to the ‘glass analogy question’. Here is what this analogy represents. This ‘glass’ represents life. The liquid within this glass represents our energy. The space of what's left in this glass represents our thoughts. Therefore, you and I could be looking at the same exact glass, however our mindsets are going to be what decides how we view that glass. If your perspective of the glass is to see it as half empty, then chances are you see life from a more pessimistic perspective. You may describe yourself as realistic and rational. You assume that anything that can go wrong will. You hope for the best but prepare for the worst. You believe that working long and hard is the only way to get ahead and that nothing worthwhile comes easy. You may have many stories of struggling in relationships or to make ends meet. You may feel stuck in life and blocked by many challenges.

If you’re the person who see the glass as half full, then you typically view life from an optimistic perspective. You may have the ability to see opportunities where you can learn and grow. You typically have a healthy self-concept and find yourself in lucky situations where you get what you want. You seem to flow through life with ease.

Here is the difference between these two. The person who sees the glass as half empty fills the rest of the glass with thoughts based in doubt, worry and fear. Verses the person who sees the glass as half full who fills the rest of the glass with thoughts based in gratitude, persistence and peace. The goal is to become a person who views the glass as half full! This is because that person is in their ‘flow state’ and has mastered ‘mind over matter’. This clears a path for them. Even if they do come across challenges - they have the mindset to overcome and keep moving forward toward what they want. They don’t have any worry and fear halting their progress.

The Shift that changed my life

I used to see this hypothetical glass as half empty. I'm here to share with you a quick and simple method that turned me into a person who now views the glass as half full. This technique shifted a lot in my life. Just 2 -3 years ago I had hit rock bottom and anything that could be wrong - was wrong! I didn’t have anyone to help or support me aside from God and the internet. Now I’m so grateful because I got to truly see how powerful the mind is. Looking back, I can see where those challenges gave me the opportunity to rebuild my mind which led to the beautiful restoration of my life. Today I have successfully manifested a comfortable home, a great career and time to nurture and bond with my daughters.

The first thing I did was transmute my pessimistic thinking into optimistic thinking. This means that all thoughts that supported a ‘half empty’ perspective had to be redirected to thoughts that built a ‘half full’ perspective. The best and easiest way to begin is with robotic affirming. The key is to stay focused on what you DO want to have happen rather than to be focused on what you dont want. (For example focus on having sunny weather for your wedding rather than being consumed with hoping it doesn’t rain on your wedding. hope that makes sense)

What is robotic affirming?

Robotic affirming refers to the practice of consistently repeating positive statements or affirmations, much like a robot. This method is often used in the process of manifestation - the belief that our thoughts and words can directly affect our reality. By repeating positive affirmations, we are essentially programming our mind, much as we would program a robot, to believe in the reality we desire. This is important for manifestation because it helps to align our thoughts and beliefs with our desired outcomes, making us more likely to act in ways that bring these outcomes into reality.

How to do it?

Once you figure out what you want then you need to repeat statements to yourself affirming the reality you are manifesting. In the morning when you wake up, spend about 10 minutes repeating your affirmations to yourself. Do this as much as you can throughout the day. The key is to not obsess over it. The purpose of this practice is to reprogram the mindset that goes against your desired reality with a mindset that is aligned with your desired reality.

For example - Say you have an important meeting coming up. Instead of worrying about if your presentation will go well - affirm that your presentation was excellent, that the people accepted your offer and that you're so proud of yourself!

Repeat your affirmations again before you go to bed at night . I’d recommend beginning with a few simple affirmations that you can commit to. See my favorite affirmations below or download them here. These affirmations helped me through a time where I was sick and struggling to get back on my feet. I had to affirm that I was already healed, that my past wasn’t going to hold me back anymore and that opportunities were going to present themselves. I’m so happy to be writing this letter to let you know that they worked and that’s why I am sharing with you.

That’s all I have for this letter! Use the affirmations below or download them here. If you have any questions or need any help you can simply reply to this email.

XOXO,
